Andrew Morrison was my gggg grandfather and served in Captain John Chilton’s company, 3rd Virginia Regiment. He and Captain Chilton were neighbors in Virginia and both were killed on 11 September 1777 at the Battle of Brandywine.
Andrew Morrison was born 1733 and emigrated from Isle of Lewis to Belfast, Ireland then to Rockridge County VA and finally to Greenbrier County, VA. He was married to Mary Organ of VA and they had 3 sons. Andrew served in Capt. John Chilton’s Co in the 3rd Virginia Regiment. The Morrison and Chilton families were neighbors in VA and they supposedly fell near each other on the Brandywine battlefied 9/11/1777. Andrew was my great-great-great-great grandfather.
